My skin type: My skin type is combination – oily on the T zone. Its acne prone and some open pores are visible on cheeks around the nose. I was looking for a quick everyday makeup. BB creams are not giving results I want, I have tried a few. My foundation is awesome but its full coverage so I can’t use it everyday. I wanted a one step makeup so I so bought this.

Product Description:

This twin cake powder will cover imperfections flawlessly! For soft and light finish, apply directly on face with sponge ( included ). For heavier coverage and matte finish apply over liquid makeup. Good for all skin types. Controls shine, silky and lightweight, reduces the appearance of pores without clogging. Includes SPF 10.

To use : Use sponge to apply powder on face and smooth evenly on skin with brisk sweeping strokes.

First of all, check what’s written on the package ” This is the beat powder I’ve ever used “. No name mentioned. I mean who said this ? This sounds funny to me. Chalo. I use revlon colorstay foundation in shade- sand beige. Though its very close to my skin color but in pictures it looks very very fair. So I wanted a more natural shade. But here I chose 2-3 shades darker than sand beige. I’ve got it in shade – medium beige cp 14. This happened because I bought it online. Still it gives me a tan look which I like.

The pan is big fat round pan, black in color. It looks beautiful. It has a sturdy button at the opening which makes it easy to open. There are two compartments, upper one is for sponge and lower one has the powder with a good mirror.The texture is very smooth and satiny, little creamier than the normal compact powders. It glide on very easily onto the skin over moisturizer. It gives a nice matte finish. It depends on how much you use the amount of product but it gives a natural light finish overall. It gives light to medium coverage and wont cover dark circles or dark blemishes. But it gives more coverage than a normal compact powder. I normally use Maybelline dream matte compact over a moisturizer but this gives better finish. It gives 10 hours with matte look without being cakey at all. But this is because of this chilly weather so I think in summers it can give good 6-7 hours. I don’t use it very often because of the wrong shade I got but I will definitely but lighter shade soon. With this my face and cleavage color doesn’t match.

Also, another great point is that it has not broken me out. So even with the wrong shade I’m quite pleased. It works fine with the sponge available but I will try any brush also.

Not so Good points: about NYX Twin Cake Powder:

* Expensive. Yes I think.
* Not for very oily skinned beauties.
* I chose the wrong shade urghh ( I know this isn’t a con).
* Coverage is not good.
* Also, I want to mention this thing that even it didn’t break me out but I cant say for others.

Note : The latest development in the case is that when I used it over Maybelline bb stick ,it gave me perfect finish and shade I wanted. Even though one step makeup advantage isn’t work here but still I love this..

Overall view: I definitely recommend this easy one step make up to everybody. Bas choose the shade carefully.
