Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro – Red Fushia Review
Yes, I know how “Fuchsia” is spelt but Giorgio Armani cosmetics chose differently, so I bring to you a review on this hot lip gloss Lip Maestro “Red Fuchsia.” Honestly, its 1 o’clock in the night and I am feeling very lazy to write anything, so I picked this product to review. Why? I knew that with this product, the review is pretty much gonna write itself and the pics that are attached – well, they speak a thousand words, so I can get away with a couple of hundreds!
I had earlier reviewed the shade #401, Tibetan Orange earlier. I am not sure why this product has been categorized as a lip gloss, its more of a liquid/cream lipstick, rather than a lip gloss and that’s why my love for this.

Packaging:
The product comes packaged in a lip gloss kind of packaging with GA logo prominently displayed. The cap is red in colour, while the tube with the product is transparent. So its easy its to identify the colour, in case you have more than one of these.
The bottle comes packaged in the standard GA black outer box. The applicator is soft and bendy – refer pics. Makes for easy and precise application.
My Experience with Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro – Red Fushia:
Color: The colour is named “Red Fushia” and that’s exactly what it is – bright and bold fuchsia red. The kind of colour which brightens up the face, takes centre stage and you have to keep everything else in your makeup minimal lest your look goes over the top. So, I have used a bronzer on my cheeks rather than using a blush. Again, used a black liner rather than a coloured one because this colour doesn’t like competition.
Texture: The liquid lipstick is lightweight, it’s a mix of gel and velvet. When applied, it has a natural sheen (no shimmer or glossiness), however, in an hour, it settles to a matte finish. Though matte, the product does not dehydrate the lip. Rather it wears very comfortably without accentuating the lines. On my dry lips, this one is an absolute delight.
Pigmentation: This one is INSANELY pigmented, one light swipe deposits 100% colour. You actually need very little product for full, even application, a little does go a long way. The colour is opaque in the first swipe itself and hides lip pigmentation.
Lasting Power: The product lasted about 7-7.5 hours on me. So, it is a long-lasting formula and one which leaves a stain. It will not come off fully on its own, you will need to use a makeup remover or cleanser to fully take it off.
Applicator: The product is easy to apply from the applicator. It goes on smooth and evenly, no patchiness whatsoever. However, I feel greater precision would have been possible if the applicator had smaller length. The tube is designed to be long and thin, hence, the applicator itself is long.
The one grouse I have with this product is the transference. It transfers on touch. The transfer has a powdery feel.
To sum this up for you:
Pros of Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro – Red Fushia:
- A bold and beautiful color, need oodles of confidence to carry this one!
- Lightweight texture – mix of gel and velvety feel.
- Excellent pigmentation – opaque in a single swipe.
- Hydrating despite being matte!
- Easy to apply with the applicator.
- It applies smoothly and evenly – no tug or pull!
- Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
- Lasts for about 7-7.5 hours.
- No feathering or bleeding.
- Iconic luxe packaging.
- Easy to identify colour from the tube itself.
Cons of Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro – Red Fushia:
- Not available in India.
- Though easy to apply with the applicator, one has to be careful, the colour is extremely bold and mistakes will look garishly visible. Plus, need more control since the applicator wand is fairly long.
- Powdery transference.
