NYX Single Eye Shadow
Hello beautiful ladies,
Today I will be reviewing a single Eyeshadow from NYX. I have used NYX’s single eye shadows and I love them and so I wanted to expand my collection and since the time I started buying NYX, I wanted to try one particular color. The color I always wanted is called ‘Highlight’ and the reason for liking this color was its name. I assumed that as the name says it will be a good highlight color and once I’ll have this I won’t need any other highlight color.

Packaging: Like every other NYX single, it also comes in a little square packaging with a transparent lid with NYX written on it. The packaging is sturdy and small enough to be carried into a small bag (for travelling)
Ingredients: A list of ingredients is mentioned on the back of the packaging which can’t be seen if you buy this product in India as importers have their label pasted on the list of ingredients. But it can be easily read on net.

My take on the NYX Eye Shadow Single – Highlight
Color: As I mentioned earlier, after reading the name I assumed it to be a good color for highlight, but unfortunately I am not too impressed with the color. The color is a little too yellow to be used as a highlight. The color is completely free of shimmers but gives a satiny finish in the lids.
Texture: Like all other NYX singles, this one too is extremely soft to apply and easy to blend. Sometimes the color might look chalky but most of the time you can get away well with the chalkiness.
Pigmentation: Highlight’s pigmentation was one of my biggest disappointments. I didn’t find the pigmentation of this product to be good enough. It seems pretty ok when swatched on hands, but on lids, even after 4-5 swipes the color is not visible. After so many swipes, it just appears that you do have something on your lids, but the color does not show up well.
Staying power: I can’t really comment on the staying power of the color, as it was not properly visible even when I applied it, and when I saw it after 2 hours, it seemed that I didn’t have anything on my lids, except my crease color. So basically the color doesn’t stay for even 2 hours.

Cons of NYX Eye Shadow Single – Highlight
• Almost no pigmentation, even 4-5 swipes are not sufficient for the color to show
• Very low staying power, the color becomes completely invisible in just 2 hours
• According to the pigmentation it gives, the color is very pricey
• A lot of product is used up even in a single eye look

Would I buy NYX Eye Shadow Single – Highlight again?
No! I will not even think of getting Highlight again….it’s not even properly visible. Instead I would have to find ways to finish this one.
Do I recommend NYX Eye Shadow Single – Highlight?
No, I will not suggest anyone to waste their money on this particular color. NYX surely have some beautiful colors to choose from but this one was a complete fail for me.
