Lush You Snap The Whip Body Butter Review
Hello Everyone,
I wish everyone a very Happy New Year. Today, I am reviewing this wonderful product from my favorite skin care brand – Lush.
Price:
6.25£ / 100 gm.
Product Description:
Whip snap away – whip snap away – whip snap away!! Smooth the bar directly over clean wet skin, in the bath or shower. Have one final dip, then you are ready to hop out and dry off, all polished and buffed. If you like it fruity and if you like it black, this is the one for you. Our hardcore skin scrub, which still manages to protect your skin whilst its dealing out its punishment.
Quantitative Ingredients:
Cocoa Butter, Organic Macadamia Nut oil, Laureth 4, Powdered Charcoal, Pumice, Perfume, Bergamot Oil, Cassis Absolute, Cypress oil, * Limonene, * Linalool.
We have got some real scrubbers in here, powdered charcoal and pumice whip away dead skin. But because there is only so much punishment you can take, we’ve put cocoa butter and macadamia but oil to kiss the skin better. Cocoa butter gives a rich moisture to the skin, whilst macadamia but oil is emollient, nourishing and helps promote healthy cell formation. So the new skin you are left with has plenty of help. The experience is rounded off with a cheeky berry fruit fragrance. Bergamot oil is uplifting, refreshing and clears the mind. Cassis absolute is the oil of black currents. Cypress oil has toning properties on the skin and is said to be calming in times of emotional stress.
My Take on Lush You Snap The Whip Body Butter:
I got this body butter in October start via my friend who lives in the UK. Originally, it had a beautiful square flat shape I’m sure, but during transit, its shape has changed into this funny thing as seen in pictures. I bought this because I liked the idea of body butter in shape of a solid bar. This black/dark grey looking bar is so smooth and buttery that I feel it melting the moment I hold it, but in real, its not melting, just slippery.
How To Use:
After the normal bath with soap, rub the body butter bar on wet skin. Scrub for a minute or two and rinse with warm water.
This smells of fruits, its very intoxicating actually. I keep smelling myself until I get nauseous It smells of black currants and very heavy overall. I like it very much, but I don’t know why my mom doesn’t like it that much. So, I guess its not for every nose. Texture is utterly butterly smooth. One can feel the grainy texture while scrubbing hard. I don’t know why Lush calls it their hardcore skin scrub whereas I think its very soft. It scrubs really well, but doesn’t feel the skin has scrubbed hard. As it has charcoal and pumice, it definitely does the job of scrubbing, but doesn’t sting or feel uneasy. I totally love this body butter to pamper myself.
The bar is so buttery that with just two usages, it has shrunk considerably. I don’t think it can give more than 5 washes for the whole body. So, this is a big disappointment for people like me who are on budget most of the times. Hence, I have decided to keep half portion of it aside and use only on arms and legs as its best for exfoliating knees and elbows. Also, it needs to be stored carefully after use.
Pros of Lush You Snap The Whip Body Butter:
- Makes skin ultra smooth.
- Easy to use.
- Great for dry skin areas like knees and elbows.
- Smells awesome and stays on for long.
- Cons of Lush You Snap The Whip Body Butter:
- Very expensive for the quantity.
- Diminishes very quickly.
- Fragrance may not suit everybody.
- Need to keep it in fridge after use, otherwise it will melt.
