Blackhead Eliminating Cornmeal Scrub
Hi everybody,
Here, I have yet another easy and useful DIY for you guys. Now, this one is useful to deal with the blackheads which can sometimes be very frustrating, and not only over the face, these can occur on any part of the body and that is what exactly this cornmeal scrub is going to help us with. It is quick, exfoliating, nourishing, moisturizing and easy to make.
Ingredients Needed:
- Cornmeal (I am using Quaker’s cornmeal).
- Tomato pulp.
- Lots of lemon juice.
- Rose water to make a paste.
- Honey for moisturization.
Method:
1. Take some cornmeal in a dry bowl.
2. Add some honey to the cornmeal to make it into a thick paste.
3. Add ample amount of lemon juice to this paste.
4. Now, add some tomato pulp and finally add in some rose water to loosen up the paste a bit to provide mess-free exfoliation consistency.
The cornmeal is usually used as an abrasive exfoliant when combined with your regular liquid facial soap where in you can add a teaspoon of the cornmeal with your favorite face wash and scrub your face gently in a circular pattern to deal with the blackheads and open pores.
I decided to make it more nourishing by keeping all the ingredients natural.
The cornmeal helps in the exfoliation, whereas the lemon and tomato juices are helpful in dealing with the blackhead removal as we all know and the honey provides the skin with the moisturisation without making it rough or dry. Be careful not to scrub too roughly, as this could inadvertently damage your skin. Rinse cornmeal off with warm water. Do try this one out if you are bothered by too many blackheads.
