My experience with Essence Mono Eye shadow 45 Back to Khaki:
Golden eye shadows complement Indian skin tones really well than any other shade, and gold is a must have shade for special occasions and mostly goes with all outfits, and today’s shade is a mix of gold and khaki. These eye shadows come in different finishes ranging from matte, shimmer, metallic and sparkling; this particular shade belongs to the metallic effect. The color is a gorgeous khaki mix with gold tones, and is slightly different from the regular golden eye shadow, but looks excellent. I always have a soft corner for khaki shade, and when I saw this eye shadow it was love at first sight. It is not very shimmery, but gives a slight sheen to the lids and has a metallic effect as the name suggests.
It is very smooth and is different from the rest of essence eye shadows, as it is not at all powdery and therefore has ever so slight fallout and feels almost like cream to powder finish. The texture is smooth; it is not too soft or hard. This shade will suit all skin tones really well and is pigmented enough to show well on pigmented eyelids, It looks great when smoked out with black eye shadow as well. If you like gold, copper, bronze and all such shades of eyeshades then you should check this shade out, it will not disappoint you.
Pigmentation is good just a light swipe in the pan gives great color payoff, but when applied on eyelids or hands for swatches it sheers out a bit, to solve that problem a good eye shadow base or primer is necessary. With an eye shadow base it performs very well. In the swatch I have used a base underneath on the left side while on the right side, I have swatched it alone and I have swiped it twice each. And there is a remarkable difference.
Because of the smooth texture it blends out quite easily and looks good even after layering. To intensify the shade one can use a slightly damp eyeshot brush as well. It stayed on my oily lid for 7 hours easily with a primer, after which it starts to fade.
