Hello beautiful ladies,

Today, I am back with another jumbo pencil from NYX and this time it will be in the shade “Iced Mocha.” This is my 4th jumbo pencil. The other 3 I have are milk, yellow and hot pink. Milk is a very common one that I use almost every day as a base to brighten up my lids, but the other two are really hard to use regularly, but they are great options for parties.  A few months back, I was in my NYX loving phase and so I bought 3, and I absolutely loved them, but I didn’t have any color that I can say is neutral or can help me to get an everyday look and after searching a bit, I decided to buy Iced Mocha. Another reason of buying this was that this was on discount.

Packaging:

All the jumbo eye pencils from NYX are white colored but still they look beautiful and different from each other due to the transparent lid. Transparent lid makes it easy to recognize the required color even if you have tons of these.

My Take on NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil - Iced Mocha

Color: Iced Mocha is a beautiful champagne color which sometimes might look bronzy. It does not have any sparkles in it, but it does have a shine of its own. It is kind of satin finish which gives a shiny effect without shimmers. It is a color that can be used for days as well as nights. When applied without much blending, it’s ideal to rock a party and when blended properly, it can easily be used for daily natural neutral look.

Texture: Texture wise, these pencils are amazingly soft, but I personally felt that this color is much softer and creamier than the other 3 I have. It’s very smooth and thus very easy to apply. Its pencil shape makes it even easier to apply and when applied for a party you don’t even have to use a brush.

Pigmentation: Iced Mocha is perfectly pigmented. It’s neither less pigmented nor very highly pigmented. In simpler words, I can say that one swipe of the pencil would give the perfect color, that will neither be too light to be invisible, nor too dark to be bold. Still if someone needs to tone down the intensity of the color, its easily blendable, and once blended it just gives a light shiny effect.

Staying Power: Staying power of these jumbo sticks is pretty good but not excellent. I use them mostly as a base for powder shadows, but they do not have a staying power that I expect from a base. They do stay for a good amount of time, but the color starts creasing and fading after few hours. So, these cannot be used for a full day especially if you have oily lids, and if you want to use it for a complete day (8-9 hours), then 1-2 times touch ups is required to prevent it from creasing.

Pros of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – Iced Mocha

• Beautiful everyday color that can be used even for parties.
• For some other color, I might say that this is overpriced, but for this particular one, I would say that it is affordable for the quality it offers.
• The no shimmer satiny finish looks beautiful on eyes.
• Easy to blend.
• Creamier than some other colors.
• Perfect pigmentation.
• Good staying power.

Cons of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – Iced Mocha

• Non retractable (needs to be sharpened).
• Shows a little bit of creasing after few hours.
• Contains parabens (I am not exactly sure that how harmful these parabens are, but they are certainly not good).

Would I Repurchase NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – Iced Mocha?

If I say about this color, then I will not buy it again as this pencil itself will take years to finish, but yes, I will buy some more jumbo eye pencils from NYX

Do I Recommend NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – Iced Mocha?

Absolutely!!! If you are a neutral lover and want something that can give both day time look and a party look, go for this one.
