Neutrogena Healthy Skin Compact Makeup SPF 55 Review
Winter is packing up, but still very much here due to frequent rainfall, spring is short-lived and I am already scared of the unending summer. Buying a foundation online is a gamble. The chances of getting a mismatched shade is equal because the swatches we see online don’t always reflect the true shade. I lost the gamble as I unfortunately selected one tone darker shade for my skin. Well, I wanted to share something, with the popularity of BB, CC and DD creams all over the world, don’t you think the cosmetic companies should at least hold up their foundation costs rather than increasing them day by day to at least improve their sales against those BB creams?

Price:
$12 for 9.9 g- 0.35 oz. (made in USA).
Packaging:
Packaging is good indeed; a total transparent packaging. The upper pan houses the foundation, the middle pan is for mirror and the bottom chamber holds the unconventionally black sponge, which is not the best but quite useful.
My Experience with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Compact Makeup SPF 55:
I didn’t expect such a nice performance from this product. The first time I swatched, it felt pretty greasy. It spreads easily on face with fingers or with the sponge and because it is quite moisturizing, so an additional moisturizer underneath makes the job easy, but not a must. Slightly more amount of product is required to cover the desired area, also may be because I have darker shade, so I need more product to show up actually. The foundation blends easily and flawlessly, giving medium coverage. If I desire full coverage, I can build it up with multiple layers without looking cakey at all. The feel is very lightweight on the skin. The foundation sets with a dewy finish, which I like to finish with a pressed powder for a matte look and to get rid of that greasy feel after the foundation sets in.
I have worn it for maximum 8 hours and it didn’t oxidize nor enhanced or sank into my pores. It hasn’t broken me out thankfully like most other foundations do. It balances dry patches in an excellent manner; so it is a very good base for makeup with added SPF 55 as I never need to worry about sunscreen.
No concealer is required for medium level scars and blemishes, but under-eye concealer is needed. It evens out my skin tone and keeps my T-zone shine-free for 5-6 hours in this weather. For summers, the time may be much less, but this foundation I feel is very good for winters and monsoon seasons.
Overall, this is a great product for dry skin types in all weathers and for oily/combination skins, this will work better in winter and monsoons.
