Amazing Beauty Benefits of Ice
It’s not in the least uncommon for us women to spend a whole lot of money every month on all kinds of beauty products that will help us look nicer, brighter, less tired and what not. Our kitchen is at all times abundantly stocked with products that we could make the most of when it comes to enhancing our skin. But—and we can all relate to this—laziness gets the better of us!
Now, here’s one ingredient that is perhaps the easiest to use! It’s basically just water! And it’s never not available. All you need is water, an ice tray and a freezer! Ice is such a no-fuss ingredient that can actually be tremendously beneficial for our skin!
Here are some ways in which you can use ice on your skin to combat some common skin woes.
Ice as Primer:
You really needn’t invest tons of money in a primer! Rubbing an ice cube gently over your face will work in quite the same way. Take an ice cube and apply it all over your face just before you start with the foundation. Pat your face dry before applying the makeup. You could moisturize your skin before or after applying the ice, depending on your preference. The ice will smooth out your skin by minimizing your pores. This will ensure that your makeup applies smoothly and evenly.
Acne Relief:
I suffer from outbursts of acne pretty, pretty often! I mean, there are days when I have a new lesion every single morning! An acne bump is red, bumpy, painful and ungainly. It’s rather difficult to cover it up with makeup while it’s inflamed and that’s when an ice cube comes to your rescue.
Take an ice cube and wrap it in a non-abrasive waterproof plastic bag to prevent leakage. Hold this over your acne/pimple eruption for about five to ten minutes. This will aid in shrinking the eruption to a visible extent.
De-puffing Tired Eyes:
For those of you who wake up with puffy, tired eyes every morning, holding an ice cube wrapped in soft muslin cloth over your eyes will help you look brighter and more awake. It may also be useful to freeze cucumber juice in an ice tray and hold it over your eyes. Similarly, you could also freeze black tea or potato juice as ice cubes and hold them over your eyes to reduce puffiness.
Exfoliate:
Instead of freezing regular ice cubes in the tray, just add a blend of some fresh fruits and veggies with some water and freeze that. For instance, you could put mango, strawberry, papaya, tomato, potato etc. (in the combinations of your choice) in the blender, add some water, and freeze the mixture in an ice tray. You could also freeze some oats, milk, honey and water into cubes. Once set, take these power-packed cubes and rub them over your skin to both exfoliate and brighten!
Soothing Salve:
Whenever I wax or thread my face, I go all red and my skin stays aggravated for days to come! However, I have noticed that whenever I apply ice to my face immediately after these hair removal treatments, the redness is instantly reduced and the skin overall takes much less time to heal and bounce back to its regular condition.
As you can see, ice is a super-versatile beauty tool! You could use it in as many ways as you like and it will only do good for your skin. It is an instant, inexpensive pick-me-up for your skin in the summer. But, even in the winter, when your skin is dry and flaky and constantly exposed to the heater, ice will do you good.
So, good ahead and grab some ice for beautiful skin!
I hope you all like this review.
