Green Papaya Brightening Face Mask
Hello everyone,
Today, I am sharing DIY mask with you all. This mask is slightly different from all the other masks. As the name suggests, it brightens skin and removes tan. The results are quite noticeable after a single use itself. Whenever we have ripe papaya at home, my mom always keeps a piece aside to apply it on face and even I have always done that and it makes my skin glow. But this one is more of a recent discovery and an excellent one; I do feel this one gives better results compared to that one. So, let’s get started:
Ingredients:
- ½ small unripe papaya.
- Honey.
- Yogurt.
How To Make:
1. First of all, peel the papaya, divide it in half, remove the seeds and cut in into small dices
2. Next, take a small mixer jar, adding the dices and blend it without adding any water for 2-3 minutes. This will take some time. You need to blend it until it all gets mashed really well. If you want, you can add a little water, but make sure to not add more than a tablespoon, as the more water you add, the messy it will get. Remove it in a bowl. Here, I am making it in a higher quantity.
3. Now, add in a tablespoon of honey and mix well.
4. At last, add in a tablespoon of yogurt. Make sure to drain all the whey from yogurt before adding and mix well.
Now, the mask is ready. Apply a thick layer on face and leave it for 12-15 minutes and rinse off. Because it is a homemade mask, it can be used often, like 2-3 times a week. This mask is slightly messy and not one of the easiest to make, but the results will blow you away, and therefore it is totally worth the efforts. You can keep it refrigerated for up to 2 days. It is completely safe for all skin types.
Benefits:
Unripe Papaya:
Green Papaya, the main ingredient is very high in natural alpha hydroxy acids, enzymes. Green papaya is especially very high in papain, therefore on topical use, it removes the dead skin layer from the skin. It not only instantly brightens skin, but also exfoliates skin without using any scrubs, making skin glow. To a great extent, it works on removing skin tan as well. It makes skin appear much more bright and vibrant after use. It also helps in fading dark spots and acne scars with regular use.
Honey:
Honey is known for its moisturizing and anti-bacterial properties. It not only soothes skin but also helps in retaining skin moisture, making skin very smooth and supple.
Yogurt:
I have added yogurt to boost AHA contents of the mask, and also makes it creamier for easy application. Yogurt is also rich in lactic acid which effectively reduces tan on skin and makes skin smooth.
So, do give this mask a try and let its magic work for you as well.
Hope you all like this review.
Thnx.
