My Experience with Marks and Spencer Magnolia Fragrance Gift Set:
First things first, the Floral Collection Magnolia fragrance set comes in a very attractive packing. The six pieces of toiletries are set in a clear plastic tray, encased in cardboard box with a transparent plastic window through which the products can be seen. The packing has a very vintage feel to it with its soft ivory, pale pink and golden colors.
I love the packing of the individual toiletries too. The soap comes in a floral and vintage color theme carton box. The shower cream, hand wash and body lotion comes in the same color theme; plastic tubes and the bath cream come in trendy reusable bottles. My favourite is the very stylish perfume bottle which has a very classy and vintage look.
All the products from this range have a very floral smell. The fragrance very closely resembles mogra flowers. It’s a rich and almost sickly sweet smell and reminds me of the incense sticks my mom used to light for puja. The fragrance is slightly overwhelming.
Let’s start with the body lotion, it’s light in texture and spreads easily on the skin. It gets absorbed very quickly and makes the skin soft and well moisturized. I especially like to use it on my elbows and knees as it makes them soft. It does not leave the skin feeling greasy. As it does not contain SPF, I have to use sunscreen separately when stepping out.
The bath cream is a light ivory cream with a pearly texture. It has the same overwhelming floral fragrance which lasts up to an hour on the skin. The bath cream is very mild and does not dry out the skin. It leaves the skin soft and moisturized. It is essentially to be used in a bath tub. It leaves a thin moisturizing film on my skin when I use it as a shower cream.
The shower cream is very similar to the bath cream in texture and fragrance. The rich, runny cream gives a squeaky clean feeling without drying out the skin.
Coming to the eau de toilette, as pretty as the bottle is, the fragrance is a little disappointing. The fragrance is quite strong and is strictly for floral lovers. The perfume does last 2-3 hours on the skin and the dry down is milder and more tolerable.
The hand wash is rich in glycerin. It leaves the hands feeling soft and moisturized. I am yet to use the soap, but it does look very tempting.

Do I Recommend Marks and Spencer Magnolia Fragrance Gift Set?
The best part about the fragrance set is its beautiful looking packaging. I wouldn’t recommend this one unless you really like a sweet overdose of floral fragrance.
