I’ve never used mascara in my life so I thought it was about time to get one. I see all the beauty gurus going gaga over mascaras because of their lengthening or volumizing properties or both. Recently full eyelashes have caught my eye so I decided to go for mascara from my favourite brand Essence.
Let’s see how it worked for me.

Packaging: The bottle is made of plastic and blue. The body is black in colour with blue design and details written in same colour. It is pretty sturdy. The cap follows screw open and shut system.

My Experience with Essence Multi-Action Waterproof Mascara

This is my first mascara so I can’t compare this with any high end brand mascara. This mascara doesn’t give much volume but it does give length. If too much is applied it can look clumpy. Quick tip to avoid clumping is to wipe excess mascara on tissue paper. It does lead to product wastage but leaves the lashes clump free.

It is waterproof by all means. If you’re having a meltdown this will stick by you. It won’t run down your face at all unless you rub your eyes. Removing this mascara is a pain the butt. After trying really hard only 70% can be removed. Sometimes I think choosing waterproof mascara was a wrong decision.The brush is pretty basic like the one in VOV makeup kits. The mascara gives nice curl to the lashes. It is not heavy on the lashes but you need to curl them if you want doll lashes. It has chemical like smell which is neither overpowering nor stays for long. But it can be a deal breaker for some ladies with sensitive nose.

1) Doesn’t give volume.
2) Need lots of efforts and patience to remove the mascara 100%
3) Chemical like smell.

Do I recommend Essence Multi Action Waterproof Mascara?

Yes, only to beginners. There is not much to expect from this product.

Will I repurchase Essence Multi Action Waterproof Mascara? No. I want to try different brands after finishing this up.
