Outfit for girls: Priyanka Chopra Inspired Lehenga Look

Outfit for girls: Priyanka Chopra Inspired Lehenga Look

Hello sweethearts,
In my 2 long trips that I went for, recently, I missed IMBB the most, even more than my mom lol. I wanted to comment on all the cute posts and reviews but ultimately there was no wi-fi at the hotel and also no proper 3g network. But I am so happy to resume and be back with my reviews.

Talking about this one, this is very close to my heart because I have made this myself, no doubt I tried to replicate but that  took a lot of efforts. I am not some professional and have not done a course but always wanted to do something that my heart wished and yes I tried to do it.

I wore lehenga for my cousin brother’s reception which looked seriously gorgeous in the blue and pink lights. I changed a bit of the outfit because the same as here was not looking that heavy; so I added diamond and copper broaches everywhere and made it look a bit heavy. I enjoyed wearing it a lot and got compliments and that made my day. I wore a kundan necklace which was pretty huge, I skipped any more jewellery since it was heavy already.
For heels, I wore normal gold heels and I choose a pair which was pretty easy to walk in because as you know these lehengas are a bit difficult to handle. I had gold nail paint on and mehendi also which totally completed the look.

For make-up, I used Maybelline dream matte mousse, L’Oreal true minerals loose powder, Maybelline cheeky glow blush, Maybelline gel liner, Mac 24 shades eyeshadow palette, Streetwearcolor rich lip colour in Pink pie.
Hope you liked what I tried and the pictures as well.. Thank you so much for watching ladies..!!

Outfit for girls: Black Maxi Dress

Outfit for girls: Black Maxi Dress

Hello women!

Here’s presenting another OOTD.

I’ve had this maxi lying in my wardrobe for ages and ages. While standing in the queue to get it billed, I had pictured how and where I wanted to wear it. If any boys are reading this, you would probably wonder how crazy we girls can be!  We don’t buy clothes to wear to particular events. We buy outfits, and only later plan events accordingly we can wear them to! ;)

And so, I planned a Sunday brunch by the poolside where I could wear this! The gorgeous weather seemed perfect to give this baby a break!
This maxi had thigh-high slits on both the sides, which were too much for me to carry. So I decided to get it fixed.
Kept the accessorizing minimal- in tune with the shoulder embellishments. Safe pumps completed the look.

Btw, while photographing this look, the most camera-friendly kitty decided to give us company. She posed for not less than a 100 pictures and still wouldn’t leave. Should we be worried?
Anyhow! Have a great day you all!
Take care.

Outfit for girls : Royal Blue Mini Skirt

Hi Everyone,
I am back with another OOTD post. I wore this outfit on a brunch with my friends! I wore blue cotton skirt with an off-white sheer top and paired it with dark brown boots.sI hardly get chance to wear skirts but whenever I get I just enjoy wearing them. Although I find wearing skirts little bit tricky as we have to take care of ourselves a lot ;) I usually wear skirts when I have to be out for small duration. So yesterday’s outing was the right occasion to wear my new cloths. By the way we went to Olive Bistro, Gurgaon.
The food was good and decor was amazing.

I bought this skirt, tee and bag few days back. I believe everybody loves the combination of blue and white. So do I!! I have purchased this skirt online and found the fit to be great!!
I bought this off white tee from ZARA. I loved the fit of this tee, it was sheer and had deep neckline from back. I am totally digging booties these days. They are perfect for the transitional weather.
Keeping the look simple, I accessorized my outfit with long multicolor necklace and blue Kenneth Cole watch. I carried a blue leather sling bag.

Outfit:
Skirt : Myntra.com
Boots: Vasant Vihar
Necklace: Accessoriez
Tee: Zara
Watch: Kenneth Cole
Have a great week guys!

Outfit of the Day : Sheer Blush Dress

Hello people!
I’m back quickly with another OOTD.

One of the many reasons I was off blogging for a few weeks was because I was on a shopping ban. A. The sales made me go bankrupt. B. Thanks to the sales again, the stores had nothing interesting to offer. But just as and when the fresh stock hit the racks, I itched and couldn’t resist giving my pocket another hole.
See this dress? I fell in L.O.V.E. with it when I saw it online. Next thing you know, I was at the store and getting it billed. Its blush color. Its very-vintage(ish) lace. Its buttoned back. Its midi length. What’s not to like?

I wore it yesterday for a lunch-date. And in all modesty and honesty, this dress got me many compliments. I know you wouldn’t believe, because the pictures make me look (only a little but) fat! *hiding my face*

Anyhow. I kept the dress neat without any accessorizing. Just a clean lady-sling to add to the femininity of the dress. I added round sunglasses, skipped wearing heels and chose glitter loafers instead, to go the whole nine yards with the vintage look.
Hope I did fine!  What do you think?

Outfit for girls: Royal Blue and Black Velvet Evening Gown

Outfit for girls: Royal Blue and Black Velvet Evening Gown

Hello my favourite girls,
What’s up with the weather? How come does it rain in winter and that too February? Anyways it was fun to see the rains and the pleasant climate.
Coming to the outfit, I wore this was the performance night for my cousin’s wedding. All of the relatives did cute and short dance performances for the bride and groom and they seemed to be so happy.

It is actually an anarkali but it looks like a gown on me and I love it wearing like that. It is a floor length dress and touches the ground if I don’t wear heels. It has a velvet portion above the waist and a nice embroidered strap for the waist area and then the flairs start to show up in royal blue.

It had a dupatta which I pinned up on one side to give it a more traditional look and paired it with short gold coloured heels. For jewellery I wore a diamond pendant and matching earrings to keep it cute and simple. I did a French manicure look and wore a big catchy diamond ring which is one of my current favourites and enhances any traditional look.

Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo Review

Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo Review

When I recently went for a haircut, my hair-stylist pointed out how dry my hair is. My hair has always been oily, but these were my first winters in such a cold area (Minnesota). The cold winds and moisture wrenching heaters have played havoc on my hair.  So, I went in the hunt for a moisturizing shampoo good enough for my fine and oily hair, which is when this shampoo caught my eyes, and I picked up a huge bottle going by my gut feeling.

Product Description:
Experience Nexxus Luxury. Scientifically Developed. Salon Proven.  Nexxus Ultimate Moisture Products restore and maintain vital moisturization, leaving hair touchably soft with a vibrant healthy look.  Therappe Shampoo, for salon performance and advanced moisturization, is specially formulated with Rosemary, Camomile and Nettle. It gently cleanses for nourished, healthy looking hair.
Directions To Use:
Apply shampoo into damp hair. Massage into hair and scalp. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with Humectress Ultimate Moisture Conditioner.
Price:
Around $20 for 44 oz bottle (at Costco, which is kind of a wholesale shop).  $10.99 for 13.5 oz bottle online.
Ingredients:
I have written down the ingredients as I was not able to capture all of the ingredients clearly because of large circumference of bottle.
Water (Aqua, Eau), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Glycol Disterate, Polyquaternium-10, Peg-6, Caprilyc/Capril Glycerides, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Fragrance (Parfum), Cocamide Mea, Citric Acid, Disodium Edta, Dmdm Hydatoin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Ppg-9.
Packaging:
The shampoo comes in a tall cylindrical pump dispenser, as most shampoos of this size are available in. The body of the bottle is sturdy and the pump is smooth.

My Experience with Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo:

I have been using Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo for over a month, and I am loving every bit of it; from the fragrance to how soft it makes my hair. It is white in color and has the perfect consistency for a shampoo.  It has a pleasant flowery coconut-ish fragrance. The fragrance actually gives me a salon kind of feeling ;) but it is not very overwhelming after you are done with shampooing.  Only a little quantity of shampoo is required to clean even heavily oiled hair (yes, I try to oil my hair before every wash).

Now, I have to no longer worry about my hair getting dry in winters, but I think I will go back to Tresemme shampoo in summers (as I have oily hair, and I loved Tresemme during summers). But those with normal/dry hair should be able to enjoy it throughout the year.

Pros of Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo:

  • Justifiable price for quality, and small quantity required.
  • Amazing fragrance.
  • Lives to its claim of restoring and maintaining moisture, and leaving hair soft and healthy looking.
  • A small quantity is required, as it lathers a lot and cleanses hair effectively without over-drying it.
  • Can possibly skip conditioner after it (I have oily hair, so I anyway do not use conditioner).
  • Initially, I felt that it will weigh down my fine hair, but it does not do so.
  • I have noticed a noticeable reduction in hair fall, though it may be just due its moisturizing properties.
  • Not sure about its availability in stores in India, but it is easily available online.

Cons of Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo:

  • Produces a lot of lather, which may be a point of concern for some.
  • Might not be suitable for oily hair, as it is a moisturizing shampoo.
  • Price is on the higher end.
  • Is not SLES free.
  • Ingredient list on the back of the bottle and on the website differ. I mentioned (and I believe in) what is mentioned at the back of the bottle.
  • The big bottle is not travel friendly.
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

Outfit for girls: One Shoulder Black Maxi Dress

Hi Everyone,
We went to Phi phi island yesterday. It’s a 2 hour sail from Phuket to a gorgeous mini island. After the swim in the ocean, I slipped into a comfortable one shoulder maxi dress. I added a neon tones (two neckpieces and a hat) to the look to make it more holiday-ey and colorful. I added the hat for the much needed comfort in the heat and of course, for the fun color to the look.
Check out the color of the ocean btw

Shimmery Sunset Eye Makeup Tutorial

Shimmery Sunset Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone,

I am here with a tutorial after a long time. Today’s eye makeup is very wearable and can be paired well with ethnic wear. The shades have been highly inspired by the sunset pics of Phuket by Rati and Sanjeevji, so I have named it shimmery sunset eyes. Let’s move on with the few simple steps:

Things Required:

  • Shimmery orange eyeshadow.
  • Shimmery coral eyeshadow.
  • Matte brown eyeshadow.
  • Compact.
  • Black gel liner.
  • Mascara.
  • Brushes.

We will be playing with these 2 shades mainly. It was difficult to point out the shades in the random palette, so I decided to swatch it. You can use brand keeping in mind the exact shade.

Start with clean moisturized eyes. (Kindly ignore my revengeful stare
Pat on the shimmery orange shade all over the lid concentrating mostly on the inner half. We will not go beyond the crease line. Increase the intensity as per your liking.
Now, take the coral shadow and pat on the outer half and pull in through the crease.

Now, take some matte brown on a blending brush and do the crease. Again, the intensity depends on your liking. Make sure the coral is visible.

Now, take some matte brown on a pencil brush and work on outer third of the lower lash line.
Line the upper lash line and waterline. I have used my gel liner for precision. You can use any black liner you are comfortable with. I had drawn the worst line possible (which I made up later on).

Applied mascara. Cleared off fall outs and patted on compact on the brow bone.

Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

How To Do Facial At Home

Hello guys! So, wanna know how to get a facial in the comfort of your own home without spending a single rupee? Read on to find out how:

Stuff You Will Need:
  • Your favorite face wash.
  • A towel.
  • Exfoliating cream (optional).
  • Sugar crystals.
  • Honey.
  • Besan/chick pea flour.
  • Turmeric.
  • Milk.
  • Lemon juice.
  • Rose water.
  • Essential Oil (optional).
  • Moisturizer.
  • Patience (compulsory).
Procedure:
Step 1: Cleaning.
Wash your face with your regular face wash. But now, take a couple of minutes extra and gently massage your skin in circular motions. Wash it off with cold water.

Step 2: Exfoliating
If you have an exfoliating cream, awesome. But if not, don’t you worry! Just add the sugar crystals in your face wash or the face pack. It’ll work as good as an exfoliating cream. Massage the exfoliating cream well again in circular motions for about two minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.
Step 3: Steaming
Steaming does the same job as exfoliating, but in addition, it removes all the gunk and blackheads/ whiteheads on your nose. Boil the water and add a few drops of essential oil.  Steam for 5 minutes. Pat your skin dry.  Do not rub your skin.

Step 4: Face pack
Make a quick face pack by adding one tablespoon of besan, a pinch or two of turmeric, a teaspoon honey, a teaspoon lemon juice, milk and a few drops of rose water.  Mix everything well and quickly apply it on to the face and neck while gently massaging in circular motions. Take time to massage it really well, the longer the better.  Allow it to rest on your face and neck for 15-20 minutes.  Wash off with lukewarm water. Pat dry.
Step 5: Moisturizing
People often skip this step in hurry, but this step is really crucial. Apply your moisturizer to lock in moisture. You have exfoliated your skin, now it needs moisture! So give it!
Step 6: Sit back and adore the person in the mirror. Your patience will be payed off well.
P.S. You can do this facial once a week. Your skin would be glowing within a couple of months. The crucial key to get flawless skin is massaging. You can add or subtract the ingredients in the list mentioned above as per your choice. This is a very basic and easy method to take care of your skin in my opinion. I have been following this routine since many months now and I am pretty happy with the results. In extremely rare cases, you may breakout in the initial days of this routine, but need not worry, it only means your skin is getting rid of any impurity. Also, I request you guys to make sure that your hands and towels are properly washed before they touch your skin because otherwise it ruins the purpose of the whole facial thing, doesn’t it? This facial will not only save your money , ut you will have full control on what you choose to apply on your skin and there isn’t one chemical in the whole process. So, its ayurvedic at the same time.
Hope you all like the review.
Thanks.

Outfits For girls: Anokhi Dhoti Pants, Anupama Dayal Skirt

Hi Everyone, We are in Phuket at the moment. I am sharing the two outfits from yesterday and today.
Yesterday evening we went to Patong Beach and I wore white dhoti pants with kurti and big gold earrings. I wore white beaded flats that gave a bit of colour to the look. I had imagined an all-white look near the sea and this one fit the bill completely.
For the second look I kinda picked up colours from the sea only. A turquoise skirt paired with a navy top and a bit of pink adding a much needed fun brightness to the look. I wanted to keep this look very simple and close to nature- walking barefoot on sand and pretty much no accessories. I think Sanjeev captured the essence of what I had in my mind beautifully.

Hope you like the looks.

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation Review

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation Review

Hello everyone,
Today, I am here to share my thoughts on Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation. I have been using this foundation on and off for the past six months. Let us get to know all about it.

Product Description:
A shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation.  Hides imperfections, evens out skin tone, and mattifies with a non-oily, perfectly powdered finish. The result is flawless and lasts for hours.  Although this foundation provides full coverage, the end result is completely adjustable to fit your needs – a little goes a long way.
Research results:
Study panel composed of 22 adults (using a 48 hour patch test) showed this product to be non-irritating and non-comedogenic.
Price:
$36 for 30 ml.
Packaging:

This one comes in a tiny plastic bottle with a nozzle covered with a black twist cap. It is so petite and travel friendly. As the bottle is opaque, it is hard to see the amount of product left inside. Just like the NARS packaging, this one also attracts the dirt quickly.
Ingredients:
  • Corn Starch: Vegetable mattifying powder.
  • Cyclopentasiloxane: Volatile silicone oil for substitute leave on shining oil.
  • Glycerin: Humectant agent.
  • Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate: Vegetable amino acid coating pigments that provide a water-resistant effect.

Cyclopentasiloxane, Aqua (Water), Corn Starch Modified, Bis-PEG/PPG-14/14 Dimethicone, Neopentyl Glycol Diethylhexanoate, Glycerin, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Mica, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Aluminum Hydroxide, Propylene Carbonate, Propylparaben, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Parfum (Fragrance), Cyclohexasiloxane, Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone. May Contain: (Titanium Dioxide), (Iron Oxides), (Iron Oxides), (Iron Oxides).

My Experience with Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation:

Make Up For Ever is one of my favorite brands. I love their HD foundation as it makes me look flawless and photographs really beautifully, but it is not full coverage and makes me very oily in just a few hours. So, I went and picked up their Mat Velvet Matifying foundation, I had heard good reviews about it being able to control oil.

There are 16 shades available, the wide shade selection makes it easy to find your matching shade. I use the shade No. 55(Natural beige) in winters and the shade No. 65 (golden beige) in summers, for reference I am NC42 in MAC and #153 in MUFE HD foundation.
You have to shake the bottle well before squeezing out this foundation. I prime my face before applying it and I use my sigma F80 brush to blend.  It blends nicely but you have to do it quickly as it sets quite fast. It has medium to full coverage, it takes about two pumps to cover my full face. It covers my acne scars quite well.  It is a lightweight foundation and gives a velvet matte finish, does not look chalky. I love how natural it looks on skin; my pores look a lot smaller. It does not oxidize during the day and also I have not had any breakouts because of it.

The staying power is very good, after I set it with MUFE HD powder, it stays for 6-7 hours without budging. Now about mattifying, I have to blot my face every 3-4 hours. I was expecting it to be better at controlling the oil, but unfortunately, I get quite shiny in a few hours. Having said that, I am so pleased with how flawless it makes me look, I can deal with blotting my face whenever needed during the day. Usually matte foundations look cakey and heavy, but this definitely is not the case with this.
This foundation will work well for normal, oily and combination skin types, but this is not suitable for ladies with dry skin.

Pros of Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation:

  • Looks flawless, photographs well.
  • Long lasting.
  • Natural finish.
  • Blends perfectly.
  • Matte finish.
  • Did not break me out.
  • Travel-friendly packaging.

Cons of Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation:

  • Controls oil only for 3-4 hours.
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.
