Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Blue
Recently I went out of my usual blue liner from Faces in Navy blue and hence was looking for something else this time, as I have been repurchasing the faces one since long now and wanted to try something new, that is when I stumbled upon this one I have already used the black, grey and white from this range and quite liked them, so had high hopes from this one as well. I have been using it regularly since last two weeks now and here’s what I think about it.

My Experience with Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Blue:
The packaging is similar to that of the regular eyeconic kajal. The packaging is black and turquoise blue tube, which is twist up so there is no product wastage, the packaging is sturdy and the cap fits properly making it travel friendly. It is really compact and can be carried around easily. I wish the packaging was color coded in the same color of the shade.
The color is a deep dirty blue, which looks quite dull and is completely matte. The color almost looks black from distant and lacks the inkiness that regular blue eyeliner should have. It will show up well on all skin tones. It almost looks like a darker version of eyeconic grey when swiped only once. In the swatches the color does look really disappointing but somehow on eyes it looks quite good. But the color definitely needs improvement as it is certainly not a true blue. But then for those who fear away from wearing colored liners, this is a great option to experiment with as the color is quite dark and does not seek a lot of attention. Also it looks quite good when smudged out to create Smokey eye look.
Another disappointing aspect is the color payoff; it is not very pigmented and as I told before just in a single swipe it looks almost like a dark grey color and at least 2-3 swipes are required to get complete color pay off. You do need to go over and over again. But thankfully the texture is very smooth, creamy and soft and there is no tugging while application and can be build up really well. But because of the creamy texture and poor color payoff one will go through it rather very quickly especially if you like wearing thick eyeliner, I am already halfway through it
It is completely waterproof as lakme claims and smudge proof to an extent. It stays in place without smudging for 7-8 hours on my top lash line and on waterline it starts smudging after 4 -5 hours. The 10hrs claim is definitely false. And if you have habit of rubbing your eyes ever so slightly it does smudge a little. I did not face any irritation or anything when I used it on my waterline. I have swiped it 3-4 times each.
Pros of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Blue:
• Smooth and creamy texture
• Sturdy packaging
• Safe for sensitive eyes and waterline
• Twist up packaging
• Waterproof and smudge proof to an extent
• Completely matte
• Reasonably priced

Do I recommend Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Blue?
I do not recommend it to anyone because of the color as well as poor pigmentation, this particular shade.
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.
