My Take on MAC Nail Lacquer in Girl Trouble:
Last year, MAC re-launched their popular nail lacquers in a permanent range. From this permanent collection, I picked up two shades a few months ago, and today I am reviewing one of them. The packaging of the same is very sleek and chic – the bottle is a long, round shape, with a black rubberized cap, shaped to fit in with the shape of the bottle.
The outer packaging consists of black cardboard with white printing, and a round hole in the front middle of the cardboard, to show the nail lacquer bottle/shade inside. This shade “Girl Trouble” is a light silver pink colour, with very fine, high shimmer silver particles. Though it is described as “super glitter pink,” I did not find any big glitter in the formula.
The brush is not very thick, but it does its job well of spreading the nail polish over the nails, and the rubberized cap of the bottle makes it easy to grasp, with no slippage or spillage. I also like how it does not feel grainy or rough when I rub my nails with my fingers, in spite of having such a high amount of shimmer in it. The formula also does not have that overpowering nail polish smell and also dries quickly. This shade is nice for day wear, yet also looks great for party/evening wear.
I normally like my nail polish application to wear at least 5 days before I change it, and with this shade, I have worn it for 5 days and there is no chipping or breaking off at the sides, its brightness/shine has reduced a little, due to wear and tear of course.
Pros of MAC Nail Lacquer in Girl Trouble:
- A very pretty silver pink colour, would suit most complexions.
- Sleek and classy bottle.
- Nice packaging.
- Rubberized cap which makes it easy to hold during application.
- No over-powering smell.
- Dries quickly.
- Stays at least 5 to 6 days without chipping.
- Does not feel rough or grainy to the touch.
- Does not look streaky.
Cons of MAC Nail Lacquer in Girl Trouble:
- Pricey!
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.
