Outfit for girls: Pink Blazer

Today 's Outfit Of the day is - Pink Blazer

Hello people!
This is the Outfit of the Day, and with this one, I return to being the city-gal!

I am sure I have told you all before how much I love airport fashion. I love dressing up for my transfers, even more than my stays!  So this is what I wore on my way back home.

The big bag and the flat shoes make the look functional. The loose pants and the basic tank make me comfortable, and lastly, the blazer makes it chic. The colors- baby blue, silver and hot pink wrap the look up in all their pride, which in my opinion, is the perfect way to end the holiday!

Outfit Details:
Everything Zara, except the bag (Forever New) and sunglasses (Aldo).

Hope you all like!
Have a great day you all, take care!

Colorbar Spotlight Illuminating Lotion Review

Colorbar Spotlight Illuminating Lotion

A sheer luminizing moisturiser with special light-reflecting pigments that veils the skin in a soft, pearly glow. Enriched with ‘Hyaluronic Acid’, it keeps skin thoroughly hydrated and plumped.
Apply on just-cleansed, toned and treated skin for a fabulous glow and dewy finish. Or mix with your favorite foundation for an increased glow.

INR 950
This is a very unique product I was keen to pick up.This is a illumination lotion. This acts like a light moisturizer but gives your skin a glow, in this case a pinkish glow.Well take a look at the product
The lotion is nicely packaged and the pricing of this whole range is on the steep side. The lotion comes in a pump dispenser and it can be twisted up to bring out the nozzle. There is no cap as such. The lotion is thick in consistency and you can see how pink it is from the very first time you swatch it.
The lotion is iridescent and it has this pink and metallic kind of duochrome sheen to it.You may have used a lot of silvery highlighter but this is the first time I have seen a pinker highlighting lotion. This can be a boon for dry skin provided you have neutral skin tones. The lotion is not for very oily skin or for people who like matte makeup base.
The lotion can be mixed with your skin care or primer or foundation which I think is brilliant for dull and dry skin. This feels very pink person so choose wisely.when mixed with lotions or foundation it works in less pinker way than on its own.It will add a soft sheen to your foundation.again this is not for matte skin lovers.
On its own I used it on areas I would highlight otherwise.Cheek bones, center of the forehead etc chin may be.On the cheeks it made me look very oily.It was hardly even visible. When I stood under the light, I could see a duochrome sheen which was too pink, only at an angle. Otherwise from a distant it looked like my skin it oily. But I have to say it is very natural and not very metallic.

I am in two minds about how pink and natural it is,the pink in it is metallic and it barely shows.I have oily and pinker skin tone most days and it makes me look more pink.It is necessary you use it on a base, on its own it looks bad and too pinky on me.Thankfully the texture is not oily.
It is very light and dull skin would like it a lot.Dry skin can use it too but if you have oily skin or if your skin tone has pink to it please skip it.You need to use very less amount or else you would look like you are sun burnt or something.Do not forget the long list of chemicals.
The worst part is it just vanishes on my oily skin in two hours or even lesser. It simply does not do anything for oily skin but adds a sheen and also might accentuate pores slightly. On the good side it is not shimmery or chunky,it is very subtle.

Try it if you have neutral skin tone, dry and dull skin and like a slight pink sheen to skin.Dry skin would even get some light moisturisation out of it. Please dont expect much from its staying power or visibility. For oily skin it is a miss.It is very overpriced though it is unique. It is not a must have product, just something you could try out of curiosity. Remember this does not have shimmer, only a pink sheen.

Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

Outfit for girls: Suit with Silver Jewelry

Outfit for girls: Suit with Silver Jewelry

Hello everyone!
Here is today’s outfit.

I took these pictures after a massive rain and hailstorm, which made the weather lovely, the birds happy, and this city even more beautiful than ever! The picture-taking became such a delight!
I’m sure you people have already noticed that I am being a complete desi here. In this particular OOTD, not just the suit itself, but the print of the shirt and the jewelry scream India! And I love the kurta even more for its ghera. Do you see how huge it is?
Heavily kohled eyes and rusty silver jewelry finished out the look.

Outfit for girls: Sequined Fit and Flare Dress

Hello Everyone!
How was your Holiii??
I did not play much, as it was my birthday the next day and I did not want to end up black-blue-red on my special day.
Also spring time is here!!! Finally, I will move out of the black and white era and see colours in my wardrobe!  So, here’s my birthday OOTD!

Birthdays are so exciting! I personally, start giving my friends and family hints as to what they can surprise me with.  Red velvet and blueberry cake being one of them!

I don’t know since how many years I have been wearing black on my birthday so this time I made strict mental note to myself that it should be anything but not black. This is one type of net dress. You can also call one peice net dress.

So, I picked up this sequined fit-and-flare dress. It’s blush in colour, making me love it even more.  Accessorized the outfit with black accents! Black studded clutch and footwear.
Finally, finished off with these gorgeous chandelier earrings!

Kerastase Fibre Architecte Renovating Dual Serum Review

Kerastase Fibre Architecte Renovating Dual Serum Review

Hello Wonderful People,
How are you all???

So, as you all know, I am a big fan of Kerastase products and I keep trying their stuff as they suit my hair type. So today, I am going to review Kerastase Resistance FibreArchitecte Renovating Dual Serum.

Product Description:
For the first time, Kerastase is introducing a serum combining two textures which merge upon application to reconstruct hair ends affected by extreme erosion.  A unique ritual.  Kerastase created a customized 3-step beauty routine: cleanse, treat and texturize with carefully-conceived methods for beautifying the hair.  These simple steps constitute a targeted, in-salon treatment which establishes a ritual haircare routine that women can do in-home with Kérastase products.
Price:
Rs. 1500/- for just 30 ml.
Ingredients:

My Experience with Kerastase Fibre Architecte Renovating Dual Serum:

This product is a renovating dual serum meant for very damaged length and split ends. It comes in a green colored plastic bottle with a pump dispenser and two holes. The consistency of the serum is quite sticky and is transparent in color. I purchased this to treat my split ends; my hair tends to get weak due to blow drying. For application, I prefer using it as prescribed, press the middle of the dispenser and mix the two textures together and apply it to towel-dried hair.

I apply it only when I wash my hair. It works on my hair, but just for around a day or two, not more than that.  I have to reapply it after every wash so it’s not a permanent solution for split ends.  Hence, I don’t recommend it to anyone who is looking for a permanent solution for split ends, but if you have weak and very damaged hair, you can try the whole range as it is targeted to treat very damaged hair caused by various chemical processes such as straightening, coloring, excessive blow drying, etc. The price and the quantity ratio is quite shocking, not fully satisfied with it, as the product is not worth the price.

Pros of Kerastase Fibre Architecte Renovating Dual Serum:

  • Just a small amount is needed.
  • Really works for very damaged hair.
  • Straightens hair.
  • Gives soft and smooth hair.

Cons of Kerastase Fibre Architecte Renovating Dual Serum:

  • Expensive.
  • After application, hair looks flat.
  • Contains silicone.
  • Effect doesn’t last for long.

Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

Coloressence Pearl Finish Eyeshadow – ES2 Electric Blue

Coloressence Pearl Finish Eyeshadow ES2 Electric Blue

Product Description:
Let your eyes speak the dialect of glamour with this matte eye shadow. Enriched with vitamin E, this eye shadow is smudge-freeand gracious. The palate offers the most alluring colour and shimmer to add an oomph factor to your personality!
Product Quantity:
3.5 gm.
Price:
Rs. 200
Ingredients:

Terminalia Belerica extract, Soyabean oil.I am a little doubtful about the ingredients honestly.

I am reviewing a simple metallic blue pocket friendly eye shadow for you today, this review goes out to all beginners in eye makeup because this kind of blue is a must-have, you can wear it on its own, dab it on top of eye liner or else brighten eyes with some color lens with this eyeshadwow. This one is 200 bucks and great to practice your skills, this is not OTT, not super pigmented or powdery which will give you better control over your makeup
The black case comes in carton but I chucked it off, this is simple sturdy click lock case with the round pan in it, the color is metallic but not shimmery chunky, but just fine.the texture is smooth but not overly pigmented, it is just fine on the finger but by the time you swatch it is lost in translation half of it what can be seen, so it might look pigmented in the pan but otherwise it is is average but not bad.
The color works best when patted on a base, base of black would look great too, you can slightly apply this on the lid till the crease, not beyond, line with black liner, may be apply this on the lower lash line with a small smudge brush to brighten eyes, this color works fine for most skin tones, not very yellow skin but otherwise fine.
The color stays on 3 hours max, but kind of stains the lids slightly is what I have seen, after you remove it, there will be a hint of blue, so use an oil based remover with it, otherwise it is good at this price no doubt.

I am happy they have mattes and metallic too at this price they have quite a few colors to choose from, you can try it if you are trying out blues for eyes
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

Outfit for girls: White Lace Skirt

Outfit for girls: White Lace Skirt

Hello everyone!

Here’s a quick OOTD.

I have stocked up on lots and lots of lace clothing in the recent times and I am loving wearing them so much. I have a similar skirt in black as well. Let’s see if I can show it to you sometime.

Kept the look laid back and appropriate for day-wear with some easy tee and neat heels (which by the way I’m wearing to sleep also!  )

A statement necklace tied the whole look together and made it perfect for a date-lunch.

By the way, Dorothy Perkins has debuted in the online Indian market. Who’s placing orders?

Biotique Bio Neem Purifying Face Wash Review

Price:
Rs. 65 for 50 ml.
Ingredients:
Aswaghanda(Withania Somnifera) 1.25%, Kulanjan(Alpinia Galanga) 2.5%, Neem( Melia Azadirachta Indica) 1.1%, Ritha(Sapindus Mukorossi) 3.75%, Madhu(Mel) 1.5%, Coconut Oil 1.5%, Purified Himalayan Water Q.S.
Directions To Use:
Gently massage over wet face and neck with fingertips, lather and rinse, morning and evening.

My Experience with Biotique Bio Neem Purifying Face Wash:

I have been regularly using the Himalaya Neem foaming face wash. It works quite decently in keeping skin clean and oil free. I was quite bored of repurchasing it again and as I have never tried the Biotique face washes, I bought a few of them.  The face wash comes in a transparent plastic tube with a dark green flip lock cap. The packaging of all the Biotique face washes is typically similar in design. The cap is super tight and it is really hard to open it. It takes at least a few seconds to struggle and really pull that cap out. If you have sharp nails, do carefully open as it can break nails.  Now, the good part is that as the cap is very tight, there is no product leakage and you can easily carry it in your hand bag.

The face wash has a very weird smell, it is kind of soapy with slight hints of neem scent. I mean, it has that hand wash and detergent kind of scent which I really don’t like. It is not very strong, but neither is it mild but quite moderate.  As my skin is getting slightly oily with the summers approaching here, I want a face wash which is a bit stronger in formulation to keep skin clean and oil free.
This face wash works well, it comes out in a very light green color which looks almost transparent. A small coin size amount works fine for the whole face area. It works up to a lather really well like a foaming face wash and I like face washes which lather up.
It cleanses skin well, removes impurities like dirt and oil. It leaves a slight slippery feel,  so I use a lot of water to wash it off completely. After I pat dry, my skin feels dry and clean. I like to follow it up with a moisturizer to avoid any dryness. It claims to suit all the skin types, however, I think it will not work best for oily and excessively dry skin. There is one more version of the face wash which comes formulated for acne prone skin, so I think that will suit oily skin better. This face wash hasn’t caused any allergy or breakouts on my combination skin. When I have pimples, it soothes skin and also helps to heal them.

Pros of Biotique Bio Neem Purifying Face Wash:

  • Transparent packaging – easy and convenient for usage.
  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Affordable.
  • Easily available.
  • It comes with a good herbal formulation.
  • It cleanses skin and removes impurities.
  • It keeps skin oil free.
  • It lathers up well.
  • Less quantity is required.
  • Preservatives free.

Cons of Biotique Bio Neem Purifying Face Wash:

  • It leaves skin slightly slippery.
  • It has a soapy fragrance.
  • The cap is very tight and it is difficult to open.
  • It might not suit all skin types, especially oily and dry skinned girls.
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

Homemade Hair Strengthening Pack

Homemade Hair Strengthening Pack

Hello lovely cookies. How are you all?
Today, I am coming to you with a hair mask which is legit awesome. This mask will add moisture to your hair and make them strong at the same time. Amla is considered to be the super fruit in the beauty department. Although I don’t like to eat the fruit, I like the things we can prepare from its powder.
Let’s start with the DIY, shall we?
What you’ll need:

Step 1:  Add one tablespoon amla powder into the bowl.
Step 2:  Add 1 and half teaspoon honey into the bowl.

Step 3:  Now, add warm water about 2-3 tablespoon until you achieve the desired consistency. You neither want it to be too runny nor too thick.

Step 4:  Stir the mixture until it forms a paste.

Step 5:  Apply it only to the scalp and keep it for about 30 minutes.  Rinse it until water runs clean and then shampoo and condition as you would.
Benefits:
1) Amla will provide strength to the roots and also add shine.
2) Honey is for the hydrating and moisturizing part.  Honey is used in almost all face and hair packs.
3) Both being used since ancient times, it is grandmother approved :P
Notes:
1) Detangle your hair before applying the mask. It will rinse off easily in the shower or else it will get stuck in the tangles.
2) Section your hair and apply the mask so that it reaches the scalp.
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.

Outfit for girls: Leopard Print Dress

Outfit for girls: Leopard Print Dress

Hi everybody,
How was the weekend? Mine was awesome, watched Queen and loved every bit of it. Apart from Kangana I really loved Lisa Hayden; I think I have a girl crush on her now.

This was my outfit few weeks back for lunch.

I wore a leopard print dress which has sheer and lacy sleeves which is not that visible in pics. As the dress was all brown and black I thought of brightening it up with a pop of red.
I have added black wedge heels and a red clutch. Makeup wise kohled eyes and red lips.

Hope you all like it. Have a great weekend everyone.

MAC Nail Lacquer in Girl Trouble Review

USD 16.
Price:

Shade Description:
Super glitter pink.
Ingredients:

My Take on MAC Nail Lacquer in Girl Trouble:

Last year, MAC re-launched their popular nail lacquers in a permanent range. From this permanent collection, I picked up two shades a few months ago, and today I am reviewing one of them. The packaging of the same is very sleek and chic – the bottle is a long, round shape, with a black rubberized cap, shaped to fit in with the shape of the bottle.

The outer packaging consists of black cardboard with white printing, and a round hole in the front middle of the cardboard, to show the nail lacquer bottle/shade inside. This shade “Girl Trouble” is a light silver pink colour, with very fine, high shimmer silver particles. Though it is described as “super glitter pink,” I did not find any big glitter in the formula.

The brush is not very thick, but it does its job well of spreading the nail polish over the nails, and the rubberized cap of the bottle makes it easy to grasp, with no slippage or spillage. I also like how it does not feel grainy or rough when I rub my nails with my fingers, in spite of having such a high amount of shimmer in it. The formula also does not have that overpowering nail polish smell and also dries quickly. This shade is nice for day wear, yet also looks great for party/evening wear.
I normally like my nail polish application to wear at least 5 days before I change it, and with this shade, I have worn it for 5 days and there is no chipping or breaking off at the sides, its brightness/shine has reduced a little, due to wear and tear of course.

Pros of MAC Nail Lacquer in Girl Trouble:

  • A very pretty silver pink colour, would suit most complexions.
  • Sleek and classy bottle.
  • Nice packaging.
  • Rubberized cap which makes it easy to hold during application.
  • No over-powering smell.
  • Dries quickly.
  • Stays at least 5 to 6 days without chipping.
  • Does not feel rough or grainy to the touch.
  • Does not look streaky.

Cons of MAC Nail Lacquer in Girl Trouble:

  • Pricey!
Hope you all love the above review.
Thanks.
