Victoria’s Secret Coconut Passion Hydrating Body Lotion Review

Hello pretty ladies,

Whenever I think of buying a perfume or a perfumed body lotion, the first note which I check from the key notes list is “vanilla!” The next ones are coconut, amber, and fruity notes, especially raspberry.  Now, with this vanilla and coconut obsession, what if I get both in a single bottle, with an ultra-classy packaging, from a drool-worthy brand and also from a sale on an Indian shopping site :P. By this, I would like to start with my next review on an absolutely gorgeous and yummy body lotion from Victoria’s Secret, which is the Coconut Passion body lotion, from their VS Fantasies Collection.

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Coconut Passion Hydrating Body Lotion:

Packaging:  Classy and elegant!!The yummy potion is housed within a sturdy and almost-opaque bottle, with a push-up cap which screws tight and thus causes no hassles. The design on the front of the bottle is adorable with gorgeous shades of flowers with coconut in the middle.  It looks just apt and perfect. Yeah everything is perfect with this VS product.  The packaging is very travel friendly. I can peacefully toss it into my bag without worrying about any spills or breakage.

Consistency: The consistency is just perfect, neither runny nor too thick. It spreads effortlessly on the skin and leaves the skin hydrated for a good 4-5 hours. Now, with this lotion, I really don’t mind re-applying at all.  The lotion is of pale beige colour. It provides a decent amount of moisture, thus dry skin beauties would also love it, but again this is not an ideal moisturiser for colder months. This lotion would be ideal for summers since it does not leave any sticky or greasy feeling at all.

Fragrance:  I have a major obsession with this lotion because it’s a blend of two heavenly fragrances – vanilla and coconut.  I saw this on an online sale and did not think twice before ordering, which clearly says it was a blind impulsive buy, and I almost jumped at the awesomeness of this fragrance when it was delivered. The coconut in it is not a sugared coconut but a tropical coconut which is sweetened by the right blend of vanilla in it.

The coconut scent definitely comes out more evident which is then followed by vanilla. When directly sniffed from the bottle, the scent might appear a little overwhelming, but when it is slathered on the skin, I am immediately transported to a coconut paradise :P. The smell stays on my skin for more than 5 hours, after which it fades. Another amazing thing about this lotion is the strong sillage as that of an EDP. When a person wears this and stands next to me, it feels like I am next to a coconut burfi stand :P, in a good way and thus it draws many compliments.

Lastly, summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of Victoria’s Secret Coconut Passion Hydrating Body Lotion:

• Provides moisturization for good 4-5 hours.
• Smells heavenly with a rich blend of coconut and vanilla!
• A little goes a long way, since only a small amount of the product is required for each application.
• Travel-friendly packaging.
• The smell lasts on my skin for good 5 hours.
• Does not leave a greasy-oily film on the skin, which is a huge plus for oily skin beauties.
• Would be an ideal lotion for summers and spring with respect to the moisture factor, but I love this for winters too because of its warm-sweet-comforting fragrance.

Cons of Victoria’s Secret Coconut Passion Hydrating Body Lotion:

• Though the VS products are available on many Indian online shopping portals, it leaves a major dent in your pockets due to sky high prices imposed.

May be not the lotion, but a fragrance mist for sure  Have already ordered for 2 more variants from Victoria’s Secret…..yahoooooo  Definitely recommended for coconut and vanilla lovers!!!
