Hope all of you are enjoying the weather with good health and hot spicy IMBB chit chats! We are still clueless about weather around here.  Week days seem totally sunny and hot while weekends are mostly rainy and cold.  It seems Mother Nature is not in favor of our outing and picnic plans, but still, we manage to enjoy our short trips quite often.  We had been to the Zoo last weekend and it was so much fun for kids but slightly disappointing for us to see those cute but mighty big creatures confined in hopelessness :(( Just imagine how we would feel with a bunch of animals staring at us and capturing our moves behind lens while we are feeling nostalgic and bored! Really scary! After this zoo trip, I was kind of lost in thought, I can’t sit in a closed room for an hour and how they manage to live in confinement or should I say we force them to live in zoo.  Hope their pain and grief reaches to every possible heart and they get back their freedom and enjoy home sweet home.  Anyway, before I get sentimental, let’s start with today’s product which is a gorgeous deep plum eyeliner from Sephora.  Please read on further to know about this retractable waterproof eye liner in deep matte plum.

My Experience with Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner – Matte Deep Plum:

I must say before joining IMBB, makeup usually meant lipstick, powder or kajal to me, but soon I discovered the magic of makeup and started exploring a few products which were always out of syllabus for me After your droolworthy tutorials and reviews on IMBB, I was totally determined to attempt a few of them.

I have heard a lot about Sepohra Collection and hence picked up this decent plum liner from their retractable waterproof liner range. I am totally flattered with this deep matte plum as it gives perfect hot smokey look within seconds though I was looking for the darkest plum shade, but still it is very close to my desired shade and undoubtedly stays for 8-10 hours without smudging or irritating my eyes. When swatched on hand, it seems dark plum liner with soft sparkles which totally adds in the glam factor. However, it might come up one shade lighter on the eyes, but we can make it deep and smokey as desired in two swipes easily. I feel it is a plus point because if I need a light purple shade, I swipe it gently and it gives me soft purple hint with sparkles while we can make it a bit dark and smokey with second or third swipe, that too very easily.

Needless to say, it is a matte liner yet glides like butter on my oily lids without any tugging or pulling. However, it does not easily come up on the waterline. I also feel that we need to be quick while using the smudge tip as it sets very quickly and it’s hard to smudge it thereafter. I had been wearing it every single day for I am loving smokey plum eye these days which is good to pair with any yellow, plum, black or few coral/white based outfits. Even the tip is really good to make precise line or smokey thick line, I never used sharpener even once within these 3-4 weeks, isn’t that cool!

It stays for almost 8-10 hours without smudging and fading on my eyes and comes off easily with cotton dipped in oil though it won’t come off with water.  Hence I am relieved from the hassles of removing this makeup. Even it does not irritate or accentuate any issues on my skin.  I just feel it is so slim and soft that I already broke its tip twice while swiping it on my eyes  I know I am very bad in caring and managing my stuff, but this liner seems slightly tender as well! Overall, I am loving this plum liner and impressed by its staying power and texture except its tender tip. I would definitely recommend this plum shade to everyone, especially to gals looking for deep smokey plum with decent staying power, it is a keeper! I would love to try other shades from this range as well!

Pros of Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner – Matte Deep Plum:

• A perfect deep plum liner with soft sparkles, must-have for every plum lover gal.
• The sparkles are not overpowering and absolutely add that oomph factor.
• Gives intense pigmentation on eyes in just one attempt, though it might be one shade lighter than what we see in hand swatches.
• It is a matte liner yet slides easily, without tugging and pulling on oily and non-oily eyelids.
• It gives a nice soft plum look in one swipe while we can build up a dark smokey look in another attempt very easily.
• No mess of drying or smudging on oily, non-oily eyelids.
• The tip gives precise line in just one attempt and we can build it more thick or intense as per our requirement very easily.
• It stays for 8-10 hours without smudging and without irritating sensitive skin.
• Comes off easily with oil but it won’t come off with water.
• Mess free, travel-friendly packaging at a decent price.

Cons of Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner – Matte Deep Plum:

• It often breaks from the tip with slight pressure, I already broke it twice 
• It may not be the darkest plum, but very close to my desired deep plum shade.
• Need to be very quick while using the smudge tip, else it may set and may not smudge thereafter.
• Needs at least two attempts for buildable shade though I feel it wouldn’t happen with masters of makeup, I need a few more weeks to set hands maybe.

I feel as a beginner, this is a great product to start with, though there are relatively cheaper options available in L’Oreal, Revlon, Maybelline, etc., but I have used a few liners from Revlon which often irritates my eyes when I use it on waterline, hence I feel this Sephora liner is safe from every aspect as it does not come up on waterline and even if I wear it on waterline by chance, it will not irritate my sensitive cornea. I loved it absolutely despite the minor flaws and I am sure you will love the texture, staying power and finishing touch of this product if you get your desired shade.  Hope this helps!

On a different note, adding a few pics of the zoo.  Can you spot lemurs, siamang, black rabbits, squirrel, monkeys and sea tortoise in collages?? Aadya was really excited and look how helpless the mighty tiger sisters are! I loved this small cute baby amphibian and those teeny meeny tropical rain forest frogs as well.  Can you imagine Aadya dared to touch that snake, my heart was in my mouth though.
